I'm a 34yrs. old female and I've been writing poetry for as long as I could remember. I even won a mother's day poetry contest when I was in the 3rd grade. But I never took serious thought about calling myself a poet until about 1 1/2 years ago when I posted a poem online. I got alot of inspiration from the comments made by other poets about my poem. I've been writing ever since.
