Consumerism and capitalism casts its shadow in this future dystonia world.
         Chapter 1

Alice jolted awake, springing up from the battered and torn couch, clutching her side. The woman breathed heavily and began to look around the loft like room. Everything was ok, and nothing out of place. These night terrors where becoming all to common. Alice exhaled and rubbed her neck as she stretched slightly, knowing she was ok. The morning rays filled up the loft windows slowly before breaking their way onto the floor. Stiflingly, Alice pushes herself up to a stand before looking over to the empty bed. Seems Alice's roommate started the day without her. Margaux was a preschool teacher, her commute started slightly sooner than others. Alice sprouted a smile onto her face as she spotted a small note on the nightstand. Coming close it read "Off to work, don't get into to much trouble", as well as sported a smiley face to the side.
"No promises" Alice chuckled and shook her head, placing the note back on the nightstand.

Alice stepped to the fridge and brought out an apple, biting into it with a crunch. While managing to eat an apple and dress, Alice began to get ready for her own day at work. Soon enough, the short black haired girl flicked a switch, causing the whole building to hum to life. Lights from overhead buzzed on, and the lights down below flickered slightly before becoming stable. Alice swung herself down the stairs to the decently sized garage below. Regardless of the rust driven place, and the tattered sheet metal parts scattered about, or the stale air, Alice loved it, and her job. She strolled to the big garage door and flicked a switch, the two metal doors pulling apart. The cool dewy breese entered the garage, balancing the atmosphere inside.
Alice flicked her wrist, a bluish hue protruded from her wrist, as a digital clock displayed in holographic fashion. "6:45" the stocky british accent read aloud before Alice swished her wrist to make the hologram disappear. Its was opening time. Alice peered out of her garage doors to see the densely pact buildings blanketed in a dense fog, only the blistering neon signs bled through such muggy weather. Alice pushed a button near her door, and a sign outside sparked before illuminating some of the fog around blue. The woman began to twirl a wrench in her palm, waiting in anticipation for a client.
