Waiting for my best friend who has gone.
I feel you here
But you are not.
A piece of my soul
From the beginning, you have got.
I wait in darkness, ever still
For you to see me if you will
But I wait, and sit and watch some more,
While you walk out and close the door.
While deep inside I know
One day our hearts will meet and grow,
Till then, the fires will be lit
For all will see
that we truly are meant to be
Twin flames that burn so bright and true,
reunited we are, just me and you.

It is my hope for you to know
I will always be here, I will never let go
For in the fires dim light I sit,
in darkness, here with all my wit.

Right now you are lost,
And can’t be found,
I know, I have looked up high and even on the ground.
You can not see what I say,
Your life has gone another way.

I stepped back,
Closed my eyes,
And had turned away.
Another has my place for now
No time to base, I know not how.
While you search for your heart so true.
I’m waiting here in the darkness,
Waiting for you.

Rest assured I know not when
You’ll come looking for me, and then,
Our flames will shine so bright and true,
And be together till the end of time comes true.
