Mt. E is the highest peak in Colorado
Mountains of Colorado;
Towering peaks, majestic.

Elbert you are grandiose,
Little can compare;
Bigger than the rest.
Everlasting, eternal
Rising above other peaks;
The Rockies.

Colorado, rugged state
Of dreams that call me.
Life’s boredom seems far away,
Over smaller peaks,
Roads and forests;
Another world
Drawn as points of maps,
Or a dream, calling me.

Mountains of Colorado;
Towering peaks, majestic.
