Way Above All Things

Way above all things is the Father’s love for me.
He sent his son, Jesus, to die upon the tree.

Jesus rose again on the third day.
For my salvation, he has made the way.

God loves us to our very core.
How can I ask for any more?

Such deep love and sacrifice,
The price for sins to suffice.

Now my soul can spend eternity with him.
I have hope for tomorrow, and my future isn't dim.

Give your life to him. He gave his for you.
He will place within you a heart that’s ever true.

There are 2 prompts for June. You may write 2 items, one for each prompt. I will give you 5k per prompt. I've written the prompts so you can easily copy and paste each into your item (a contest request). Note that the length of these prompts is specifically directed at the Best Short Poem, Structured and Best Short Poem, Free Verse categories in "The Quill Awards" . They require poems be 15 lines or less. My hope is that there will be a couple of nominations from this month's contest. Below are the prompts for your copying pleasure.
