A dogwood blooms despite the cold.
Again
dogwood blooms white,
drinks sunlight of blue sky,
shivers unaccustomed to freeze
wherein spring allows a polar vortex
to take and grab her by the throat…
yet thrives as breaking dawn
dapples morning gladly,
then beams with life
again.
