Dumpling

The droplets of my dark heavy eyes
Cascade down my face
You left without answering the whys
My heart sinks within this case

You came into our lives with a brother too
We took you in and cared for you
You learned our love was true
That’s why we are so blue

You gave us joy
You gave us grief
We loved one another
You left us quickly like a thief

I will miss you sitting in my hand
