When Jake Punched his Bully Writers’ Cramp

When Jake Punched his Bully Writers’ Cramp

28

When Jake Lee was in middle school
He was a classic nerd
Awkward with glasses
And a speech impediment.

He was bullied
every day
By Jim P.

Until one day,
He surprised everyone
He saw red and punched
Jim out in front of the school.

The teachers
looked the other way
They knew he deserved it.

Jake Lee learned a valuable lesson
The only way to deal with bullies
Is to stand up to them.

Jake and Jim
never became friends
And lost touch.

Many years later
They reconnected on Facebook
Met for lunch.

They did not need to talk
About the past
It was all forgiven by then.

Jake Lee and Jim P
Finally reconciled
Almost 40 years later.

Based on a true story.
