Falling out of love.
White dress and black suit
An art deco spirit so lavish
Opulent love celebrated in the forever kind of way
Will you stay?

Such beauty, a love like theirs
Showered with the affection
Of a million stars
A decadent affair

It was the romance for the ages
Such tenderness, the connection
A lost enchantment of the universe
That began dissolving through paper

What was meant to last
Was not built as a castle
But clandestine encounters
Under the silver midnight stars

The finality of confessions between paramours
There were no secrets, only honest feelings about a love that had faded
The end of an era.
