Prompt #2 - The girl's body was charged with electricity and she's dangerous to everyone.

This prompt was chosen because I wanted to try something with a magical appeal of glamor and glitz. Believing that the title fit well with the prompt, inspired me to try and write something new. Flashy Strike struck me as having something to do with electricity.

During Wilameena Josephine Brindle's life, there was a time that shook up the little town of Brisbane, Wyoming. For my story, Wilameena means Dangerous One, Josephine means Full of Magic, and Brindle means Showing Light. Josephine was a fragile woman who was both physically and emotionally weak. In this little town, doctors were hard to find. There wasn't much hope for survival. The only option to get well was to fly out of state.

Walking through the forest, Josephine would smell the evergreen pine trees. The fresh scent helped her breathe better; it was refreshing to the senses. The oxygen level in the air was of good quality. The walk was perfect for her. Seeing the birds fly about in a flock, made her in awe of the wonders of God's creation. They don't have a care in the world; they have a spirit of freedom. "I wish that I could fly like them", she said. They sing beautifully; they bring refreshments in the morning, and they mellow out the stressful places in the mind so that we can have relaxing thoughts. Words are spoken with kindness and caring. Harmony and satisfaction to a peaceful existence, come about when we clarify the meanings of what we're saying. Completing any task that you set out to do will bring about self-confidence, which means that your accomplishments will develop a sense of purpose. This gave her the promise of having emotional well-being and strength in her bones.

The thunder roared menacingly through the sky when a lightning bolt struck Wilameena's body. It looked like the lightning bolt surged her with a flashy strike that made her jump high off the ground. Drastically, her personality changed into something that wasn't very nice. The truth was that she was dangerous to the core and unpleasant to be around. She would snap and snarl if anyone asked her anything. She demanded to get her way. It was best to be as far away from her as you could get.

Wilameena started to feel the power within her. Despite her meanness, glitzy particles seemed to surround her with magic. The glitter made her a very glamorous woman. She had deep dark eyelashes with sparkling eyeshadow; it glittered well with her dashing wardrobe.

In a rare kingdom, beauty is reminiscent of a fabulous life. Charmed by riches beyond what anyone could imagine, Wilameena Josephine Brindle wore an evening gown decked with diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and pearls. Enticing thoughts came to everyone's imagination when they saw her in this gown. Her hair flowed down to her waist with a shiny hairpin, which was an added attraction that drew people into having a conversation with her.

The electricity exhumed Wilameena's body in such a way that it expelled a nature of resentfulness. What kind of magic would do this to her? Would she be able to overcome the spell that changed her beauty into ugliness? Standing on guard was treacherous. She didn't want anyone to downgrade her for the luxurious lifestyle she had accumulated.

It was unsettling for the average, everyday person, to see the magic, charm, and glitter that was bestowed upon Wilameena. The three things that people hated about the way she lived and looked were jealousy, intimidation, and envy. It was like walking on eggshells. From one minute to the next, one didn't know why she would flash her wardrobe and bash her dark eyes at you. She had an inferiority complex. Whenever a community gathering was held, she had a pompous attitude. She exerted a flashy strike of exuberant energy that caused all the transformers to blow out. She was dangerous to be around.

Wilameena soon became bored with all the glamor and glitz. She fell into a slump. What happened to me? I was a fragile woman. I was given all this power, but am I really happy? She gave these thoughts some consideration. She was happy for a time but didn't like what she had become. She decided to work on this problem. She wanted others to like her. She didn't want them to think that she was far better off than they were. She needed to make a change in her lifestyle. Envy is a poison not to be admired. It is a nasty way for people to think. I am stuck. Ever since the lightning bolt struck her, she became someone that she didn't like.

Wilameena decided to put a spin on her dilemma. She wrote down all the bad thoughts she could come up with. She boiled a kettle of water and threw all the thoughts in there. It was miraculous what this did! The kettle of bad thoughts began to melt. The aroma filled her place with warm and soothing thoughts. She was stronger and much nicer to be around. She was delighted; the spell had been broken.
