Description of what I've experienced and witnessed periodically.
We all hold secrets deep down within our souls.
Some rise like the dawn into the black of night.
Sure, we all have regrets.
Yet most are discarded into a waste bin by the door.

Memories fade and time flows by for us all.
Some depart early and their curtains finally fall.
Sure, some souls are restless.
Yet most ghosts are forgotten, without memories, they’re no more.

Why, Why, Why do we die?
Why, why, why do we lie?
We don’t see, though many lies told by the score.
But like lighting they strike, to one’s core.

Many play games with the lives that are within their hands.
Praying with selfishness and greed within their soul.
As their future begins to fade.
They soon find their end and are nothing once more.

Why, Why, Why do we die?
Why, why, why do we lie?
We don’t see, though many lies told by the score.
But like lighting they strike, to one’s core.

Many can’t see that life is more precious than gold.
Some hoard all they have, which is no help at all.
Life’s priceless without compare.
Yet sadly we repeat our mistakes, as if we have no sense at all.

Why, Why, Why do we die?
Why, why, why do we lie?
We don’t see, though many lies told by the score.
But like lighting they strike, to one’s core.

So, before the end comes for us all.
We ought to consider what we’re leaving behind, as we fall.
The bell will toll, as the pendulum will cease to swing.

Many of these secrets are kept and carried to one’s grave.
Some Delight with laughter at all of our collective pain.
Forgiveness and love are the keys to wisdom’s door.
We all eventually pass, becoming nothing once more.
Yes, we all eventually pass, becoming nothing once more.
