Biological father left. Someone stepped in. He chose his gf over me.
You stepped in after he left.
You were there more than he was.
Every trip
Every event
Every function
But then she appeared
And she took you over
You weren't there
I've been alone for...
Every trip
Every event
Every function
You took her side in everything
Even when she made you into the villain
The made-up version that she made of you
Became true
And now I won't have a tradition at my wedding
My father figure isn't a figure
It's non-existant
Maybe other than an uncle in my family
But not the guy that taught me how to ride my bike
All because of a stupid woman
Once again, I was put in 2nd place
You followed in David's steps
I used to call you dad
But now I'll call you Shawn
