Saw the fighting in women’s sports and thought my emotions took a toll as well - a poem.
Cognizant of mighty terror
Sewn together, much in error
Tried and true, you’re only human
Roosevelt, and then to Truman.

So athletic, strong, and pliable
Markedly demure, reliable.
Coming on with great security
Are there wins without impurity?

Fighting’s not an option, friend
This production now must end
Congrats and calm, reduction of -
Losing’s not a fitting glove.

Souls who win do not need glamour
Somehow leaving, no more stammer
Greeting others, telling truths
Whether aged or healthy youths.
