Pay attention to the jury instructions
It was day two of the trial and the judge noticed that every time the prosecution or defense attorneys were speaking
a juror would pull a little index card out of his pocket and jot something down on it.

"Juror Number Seven," inquired the judge, "Are you taking notes over there?"

"No, Your Honor," said the juror, "I am just scratching little hash marks every time one of the lawyers tells a lie!"

The judge slowly shook his head and said, "Well, in that case I'll have to dismiss you as a juror, for two reasons."

"First, I do not allow note taking of any kind by jurors in my courtroom. Secondly, by now you should be on the other side of that card."
