Talking to Time ▼

"My favorite time of day is the last hours of being awake when I have my beloved in my arms and we are discussing our days, our love, and our hopes in the future. I would give just about anything to stretch that time out forever," I told father time.

"That sounds like the very best of time, but without the past and future times, you have nearly nothing to discuss," He smiled at me and shrugged.

I considered his statement, "We could just spend the time holding and caressing each other."

He laughed, "I find it admirable that you love them that much, but without time apart your love could turn sour."

I frowned, "I guess the best favor you can do for me is to leave things as they are."
