Exhaust Fumes
in Spring

Exhaust fumes from trucks tailpipes smell,
and wind blows through the trees
rustling leaves.

A truck motor is running,
and flowers are in bloom;
I start the car
for a trip to the grocery store.

Traffic is moving slowly,
while somewhere in the country side
there is fresh air.
