Istijlál (Majesty), 18 Bahá (Spelendour) 179 B.E. - Thursday, April 7, 2022 On this, the first Thankful Thursday in April 2022, I am thankful that Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed for a seat on the Supreme Court.1 This is a milestone in American history and give hope that eventually the country will live up to the words of the Declaration of Independence. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Preamble to the Declaration of Independence While I suspect that the Founding Fathers were referring to only the while male part of humanity. This is not how many of us view this paragraph today. We believe that all humanity was created equal--no matter color of skin or gender--and we are working and praying for true justice and equality for inhabitant of the country.
