Lover's Quarrel

The haunting echoes
of last night's rage reverberates
through the morning air.

Your unapologetic whispers
cannot extinguish
the flames
your degracing words ignited
in my mind.

Troubled
by your false accusations,
I pause to consider
my next move
before throwing your suitcase and clothes
into the courtyard.

Despite the rumors spread
by our so called friends,
I am not the one who cheated.

Without you
I am now free to travel
joyfully through
the rest of my life.
