May my opinions gather wind under their wings and fly, perchance to soar.

Will another "democracy" elect a ____?
An Australian friend I met in Mexico posted something on buukface that disturbed me. Yes, I agree that the current president has issues; but, the alternative may be a wannabe-nazi.

And yes, I think there are two candidates for that ignominious position.

For those who are upset by the use of the term "nazi" I'll remind them that Germany democratically put the Nazis in power in the 1930s. One aspect in the aftermath of that election was that the socialists and communists were fighting each other and a certain someone used that to his advantage, ending up terrorizing most of Europe.

In the USA, one of those running tried to usurp the last election and should be disqualified; but, Americans don't see that, preferring an illusion of 'fair-play'. There is nothing fair about inviting the fox into the hen-house. Yes, it can happen by mistake — once. The second time is intentional.

This could be stopped by invoking the Constitution... but that should've been done long before now. There's an angry mob out there who wants to bring on the destruction of the republic as we know it.

And it could be stopped by a political party not putting him (or the other 'lite' fascist) on the ballot. They have plenty of other choices.

Ultimately, it could be stopped by the courts; but it's late, very late, for that obvious solution.

What my Australian friend may not realize is that there may be a revolution to make America into Amerikkka.

I'm considering my options if I feel the need to flee.
