FORGET THE PAST
FORGET THE PAST

[We should always have a positive attitude]

Though I have been truly in hell,
Why should that shadow my heaven?
I did face death in the past yet,
I won’t now by it be driven.

Though my days have been cold and dark,
Why should I shut down warmth and light?
I want to enjoy my today,
Though my yesterday was a blight.

No, I won’t let the ghost of past
Gnaw at my present and future.
A new sun guides me each morning.
To look back is not my nature.

Each day my step is different
And I sing a different tune.
To forget the past misery,
Can, in fact, be the biggest boon.
