I am thrilled to read this poem written by an Air Force veteran and a poet with many poetry books. [I too served the Army as a Captain AMC (Army Medical Corps) for three years and write poetry.

This is a sad mixture of family woes where the husband has Alzheimer's and parkinsonism and the wife has loss of memory and ability to reason. What is refreshing is that the family somehow managed to have a semblance of being knit together. Life is not easy but it is for us to make it tolerable or more difficult. It all depends up on our thought process.
This is a wonderful and true and realistic account of how one feels after losing a life partner. It is very well presented. You have a very sensitive and touching way of presentation. While I feel your loss, I cannot but admire your writing style.
Sometimes things happen which make us believe in miracles. However, science is not convinced about miracles. Some miracles are well documented and make even scientists wonder.
This is a wonderful plan for self-assessment. It ought to be followed by everybody. It is so surprising that we don't ever bother whither we are headed. Our life is often rudderless.
This is not an ideal write but I guess this because you have certain disabilities that come in the way. Please carry on un-deterred. Victory comes to those who persevere. All the best. Keep writing.
This is a wonderful true story about the spirit of sacrifice for others' sake that is inherent in living beings, even among animals. Psycho-neurological research shows that giving enhances happiness. Your story, a true one, fully illustrates this.
What stories could these old homes tell,
Of master and slave, and laws forgotten
In the name of "decency", leaving
Innocent young men hanging from trees?
The words "laws forgotten" convey much more than their literal meaning. They refer to illegality, injustice and cruelty heaped up on "Innocent young men hanging from trees".
This is a very nice poem which vividly brings out the contrast between a small, simple town and a metropolis.
The following lines clearly show the difference--
Neighbors side by side, like strangers
in the night
Exchanging glances, not even a smile
Oh what a sight
This is a different life from our old
familiar place
Where every neighbor is a friend and
conversation took at ease.
This is a small nice piece which is shaped like a poem but is not described as such. It deals with the problem of arts supplies being expensive, such as paints, brushes, canvases etc.
The piece begins with the opening-- I am ashamed.
It is not clear why the artist should be ashamed if art supplies are costly.
I started reading this article in the hope that I shall learn 7 tricks used by scammers. I find that 1 to 5 are saying the same thing in different words. No. 7 is not a scamming trick at all. It is just a hope expressed by you--"I pray you never get this far..."
