Day 5, Task 2: Group Task Spotlight Creed
My ideas for lines

On fire with the written word,
Spotlighters vie to be heard.

Morning echoes with the sound of keys,
Spotlighters compose a creed with ease.

The group In & Out

Our group item for D5T2  (18+)
Created for the above round
#1457531 by Dr Taher writes again!

I enjoyed watching the building of the creed with the use of an In & Out.

In an e-mail received from Dr. Taher the creed is beginning to come together. Thanks to the input of group 2. Below is a copy of the poem in the e-mail.

At Spotlight we Pledge to do, Challenges both fun and new.
We'll breeze through this round, without much ado.
Every task that we are given, we will tackle with a grin
For writing with out a grin, is considered a sin
On fire with the written word, Spotlighters vie to be heard
Always witty, but seldom absurd.
Morning echoes with the sound of keys, Spotlighters compose a creed with ease.
Friendships are formed over written words
Especially if the item be that one of Earlybird's
Our credo's to win, come hell or high water, We'll give of our best, and cut no quarter

Writing a poem using an In & Out is an interesting and enjoyable experience.

The final version of the creed is in Dr. Taher's book - "D5T2: Authors Spotlight Group Creed - below is a copy of the final version.

At Author's Spotlight, we pledge to do, challenges both fun and new
We'll breeze through this round smoothly and without much ado

Every task that we are given, we shall tackle with a grin,
For writing without one, is surely a terrible sin

On fire with the written word, Spotlighters vie to be heard
We're patient but witty, and never absurd.

Mornings echo with the sound of typing keys,
As we Spotlighters compose a creed with ease.

Friendships are formed over written words
Be they prose, or be they verse.

Our credo's to win, come hell or high water,
We'll give of our best, and surrender no quarter.

I think our group did a good job of creating a creed. This was my first experience at co-writing a group poem for something other then a party game. I liked working with this group.

As can be seen in the final version of the creed with the line phasing; the rhythm flows and the rhymes sound natural.
