A Pittance of a Poem
PROMPT: Creation Saturday! Create at least an 8-line poem -any form, or free verse-inspired by some of your fellow challengers' entries this week.
         Fear is a stranger that lurks in the dark.
         It pounces and pierces just like a shark.
         Self doubt's exposed, a pink underbelly
         of pain, loss of me, and PTSD.
         Sharp teeth clamp as hem thread of a prom dress
         slashing, pulling, tightening, a duress.
         Cries of "for fucks sake I'll deal with it" blast.
          Shock, empty words, bleeding, spurting epitaphs.
