Christmas Memories

Christmas memories
are like "The Ornaments on a Christmas Tree"  chanting
remembrances of Christmases past
to each individual.

Silver and gold memories
bring with them sadness and joy
intoning Happy Holidays
or Merry Christmas
to the inner child unwrapping
yesterday's Santa Claus presents
or parental gifts.
