Joy Is..
Istiqlal (Independence), 9 Ilm (Knowledge) 177 B.E. - Friday, October 23, 2020

Joy is waking up before dawn
and listening to the neighborhood silence,
while you read the sacred scriptures
or say dawn prayers.


Joy is chanting
God's Most Great Name,
which strengthening the connection
between my soul
and the Eternal Beloved.

Joy is intoning
the Short Obligatory prayer
at noon.
