Shadows (Poetry without an E)
You choose the topic, but...

Your poem cannot contain the letter E anywhere (except in this part, which you are to post in your item).

Written for "The Whatever Contest." *Right* "The Whatever Contest -- Closed for Now

Word/Line Count:

Required line count 10-15 lines.

Shadows follow as dark swallows.
light that brings forms long and tall.

Crawling towards us, it affords us
room to spy our thrall.

Shadows slip across a lip
and hang along a wall.

Always with us, just to watch us
waiting, spying, watching all.

With us caught, without a thought
and mocking through our fall.

This is my example entry for October 2020's "The Whatever Contest -- Closed for Now to show it can be done. It's not easy, for sure! But I wrote a poem (about shadows) without using an E. *Bigsmile*
