Extremely Windy
Extremely Windy

It was an extremely windy day yesterday. Of course, it was coming from the north. And it was very, very busy on that side of my post. The south side wasn’t that busy yesterday at work. But the north side more than made up for it. That’s how busy it was on the north side.

The wind was so bad coming from the north that I almost got crushed by the door several times. And my arm pulled off by the door opening completely a few times. Once, the pull was so bad that I almost ended up at the entrance to where I work. Luckily, I was trying to close the gate at that time. Otherwise, it could have been another attempt on my life.

That isn’t the worst part of it, though. It was so bitterly cold yesterday at work that I was constantly feeling it. After all, the heating there isn’t very good. At least it isn’t when I’m working at that post. In fact, I had to keep my coat and hat on the whole time. That didn’t help my hands any. That’s because the controls are on the outside of the post there. And it hard to control them with gloves. Especially, when those controls don’t want to work ninety-nine percent of the time.

Yes, I know that the Site Security Supervisor at the site where I work can’t control the weather. But he is the reason why I’m at that post. Well, that isn’t exactly true. He wants me to either quit or die. It’s the company that I work for who put me there to keep me at that site. If the Site Security Supervisor had his way, I would have been gone a long time ago. One way or another.

The next couple of days are supposed to be cold. But as far as I know, it’s not going to be windy. At least not like it was yesterday. There may be some wind. But it won’t be life-threatening. I can take the cold. It’s the cold wind that I can’t handle.

It isn’t the cold that makes it cold. After all, it can be in single digits or lower. And still not feel that cold. Unless there is some wind. The stronger the wind the worse that it feels. I can take a slight wind. But I have trouble with the stronger ones. That’s because of my asthma. It was very, very bad at work yesterday. Luckily, it wasn’t that bad, though. I didn’t pass out. The Site Security Supervisor would love to see that happen. Then he could accuse me of sleeping on the job.

Of course, the wind isn’t my main problem, though. I still don’t know what is going to happen at work over the next couple of days. As far as I know, everything is going to continue as normal or as normal as it gets there. But because of the new guard, I don’t know that for sure yet. I still may be working there. Then again, I may not be.
