Just an image Proverbs 13:23 says "Much food is in the tillage of the poor; but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment."

Explain what this means.

I had to look this one up in another translation to get to the meaning. The NRSV writes this as "The field of the poor may yield much food, but injustice takes it away."

I believe Solomon is talking about unfair taxation and crime here. The poor work very hard to produce only to lose it all to taxes and other schemes of the rich.

For my blog I could have sworn I sent this prompt out last night. Perhaps it did not send or something.

Anyway, I found a port ** Image ID #2228848 Unavailable **
in which the author says she would like to rid the world of all who were deemed "unworthy". If this were to happen what rule would be used to determine who is worthy?

I am preparing to write a sermon that I will deliver tomorrow that is going to talk in-depth about judgment and one person declaring another is unworthy to live. These tactics have been tried before. Hitler determined that Jews were not worthy to live. Stalin determined that millions more were unworthy to live. Who died and made any of us gods?
