Gentle Light

The gentle light from clos-ed blinds
confesses, "Day is here."
Continue we in what we find.
His Help removing fear.

The "gentle" light, outside is strong,
the heat is forceful, harsh.
How steamy ev'ry birding song
within a boiling marsh!

The gentle light gives hope, that soon
this life on Earth will see
The Light of Christ more bright than noon,
His children's days to free.

The gentle light as the brightest sun
may blind the darkest heart,
but when he comes the vict'ry's won.
Th'Eternal Day will start.
