A Lot Better Today

Today hasn’t been too bad when it comes to my writing of my latest Short Story for the WDC contest for this month. I haven’t gotten a lot of it written so far. But I have had the time to work on it, though. Not only have I come up with the sections for this story in a sentence, but I have almost finished writing the first one.

I was right. After thinking about it some more, I remembered another story that matched this picture prompt even more than the one I thought that I was going to write. In fact, I think that this one will be even better than the last one. The last remembrance for this contest. Not the last contest that I wrote a Short Story for.

Why didn’t I get more of this story written today? What is the usual reason why I didn’t? that’s right. It’s because of what my brother and I needed to get done today. Only today was a little bit different. My brother was part of it. But today was more about me than him or us.

For the last several months, I have been too busy to get my Covid-19 vaccination. But today I finally did it. I have wanted to do it ever since I got the chance to do it. But something kept coming up that stopped me from getting it done. Until now. It has taken me a long time to do it. But I have done it.

There wasn’t any pain or hurting. During or after I got my vaccination. So, if that’s the reason you haven’t taken it, it’s not anymore. I know that I’m a nobody right now. But someday I’m sure that I will be. Whether I become somebody or not, I’m still encouraging you to take your vaccination shot(s).

Will I continue to work on this Short Story after I finish writing and posting this blog entry? That’s what I plan on doing. True, I’m still a little tired from not getting a lot of sleep the last couple of nights. But I got quite a bit last night. And I think that I will be able to get some more written on this WDC Short Story. At least to finish this first section. I’m hoping to do one or two more sections, though.
