The Last Day of the Month

I’m so happy that I got my two short stories written, created, and posted to their contests. After all, I was right about not getting the second one written if I hadn’t finished it last Friday. I didn’t think that I had anything else that needed to be done today. But unfortunately, I was wrong about that. My brother and I had a lot to do today. I just didn’t know about it until it started.

I knew that I had one thing that I needed to get done today. And that was to get my second Covid-19 vaccination shot. I’ve wanted to do it ever since I was able to do it. But I had other things that needed to be done first. And by the time that I did them, I didn’t have any extra time to get them. Until now. The thirteenth was when I had my first one. And today it was my second time.

If I hadn’t gotten my second Short Story before my last two days off, I wouldn’t have gotten it done thanks to the last couple of days. I did get it checked by Grammarly, created it on WDC. And I did post it to this contest. Also, I entered the WDC contest for this month too. I didn’t think that I would get this second one done before the end of this month. But I did do it with about a day to spare.

This may have been my first chance to write today. But it was a good day. At least I think it was. Even though, I didn’t get to do any writing today until now. I consider it a very good day. After all, I did get this blog entry written. And that is what cost the most. Getting this blog entry written for today. Combined with not getting my second Short Story written and what happened today, If I hadn’t done that, I would have had another day without blogging. And I didn’t want that to happen.

In less than an hour, a new month will begin. I don’t know what the prompts with be for September. But I should know what they are before my next two days off. Of course, I hope that I get them in the next few days so that I can start working on them long before then. But I’m not going to count on anything until it happens. Especially, when it comes to the second Short Story that I will be doing for September.
