Light my Path
To him it did not matter
What she saw or what she felt
He was finished now he'd had her
This was the hand he dealt

She felt her world was spinning
Round the edge of a black hole
She fell quickly imploding
Into the dark that stained her soul

Cold night hid her crying
Love's light dimmed to dark
A blind woman stumbling
On broken pieces of her heart

Oh God she prayed into the still
Into the black and starless sky
Show your glory if you will
Light my path or let me die

Gently blackness turned to silver
Slowly shapes began to form
Her heart stirred with a shiver
In the ice before the dawn

She saw her world within was altered
Renewed and green again
The river of her tears had watered
Eden, she was alive, Amen.
