Work and the Weather Again

It’s that time of day again when I either must write this blog entry or have another blogging day missed. I have been pretty good this year about missing a blogging day. Come close a few times. But I don’t think that I have. If I have, it’s been quite a while since I have had one. Months instead of weeks or days.

Don’t get me wrong. I want to write these blogs. It helps me to get my frustration under control. And I have a lot of frustration too. Especially, when it comes to writing at work. It’s especially bad on days like yesterday. I didn’t get too much written yesterday at work. It wasn’t all that bad, though. After all, I did get five more scenes written for this episode.

Five scenes a day is about average for me. Particularly, on weekdays. I probably would have gotten two or three more written if it wasn’t so bad at work yesterday. Like this blog title reads above, work and the weather were both against me when it comes to my writing. Both slowed me down a lot. But they didn’t stop me from writing, though.

Work was worse than the two. After all, it was extremely busy there yesterday. One of the busiest that I have seen in a long time. If it’s not the busiest one so far this year. And there have been a lot of them on Wednesday lately. I thought that this time of year it was supposed to be a little lighter at where I work. But it doesn’t look like it’s going to be that easy this year. At least it hasn’t so far.

It was supposed to rain yesterday. But there was only about a thirty-five or thirty-six percent chance of rain yesterday at work. And when they are in their thirties, it usually means that there isn’t too much rain. That isn’t true for yesterday. It wasn’t supposed to start until about six PM WDC time either. And it was only supposed to last for a couple of hours. That was a lie too.

According to my cell phone, the weather today is supposed to be okay. It will be a little hot most of my shift. But not as hot as it has been lately. If that’s true, then I may be able to get more than five scenes written today. Then again, maybe I won’t. It’s not just the weather that may stop me from getting too much writing done. Work will be a big factor in how much I get written. And if it’s like the last several Thursdays, I may be lucky to get those five scenes written today.
