America's Destiny:
To 'Abdu'l-Baha
"...The American continent gives signs and evidences of very great advancement; its future is even more promising, for its influence and illumination are far-reaching, and it will lead all nations spiritually..."
He saw a glorious destiny
for the nation of my birth:
beautiful America.
He saw a glorious destiny,
to lead the world spiritually
and construct the Tabernacle of Universal Peace;
thus I say The Prayer for America
and proclaim the oneness of humanity.
This is poem #62 of the 100 I am writing for the Centenary of the Ascension of 'Abdu'l-Baha.
