Prayer by prayer
my soul connects with my Lord
giving thanks
for both material
and spiritual food.

Word by word
I read the the sacred scriptures
sating my souls hunger
and quenching its thirst.

Breath by breath
I meditate
letting my soul to digest
the word of God.
