The Weather and My Relief
The Weather and My Relief

Yesterday at work, I only got four scenes written on the first episode of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. There are two reasons why that happened: The weather and my relief aka the title for this blog entry. I’m not sure which one is more to blame. But it’s probably the weather. After all, it was raining all during my shift yesterday.

True, it wasn’t a heavy rain most of the time. But it was a steady one. And of course, it was a Wednesday. That means that I was outside in that rain a whole lot yesterday. I would say about two hours of my shift I was outside of my guard post. Luckily, I remembered to bring my winter coat. Otherwise, it would have been a lot worse. Especially, when it did rain a little hard. It didn’t happen too often. But it did happen a few times.

The weather may have slowed me down a little bit when it comes to working on this project. But it wasn’t that bad. That’s why I think that my relief was the main reason why I didn’t get at least one more scene written yesterday. If he hadn’t come in about an hour and fifteen minutes early, I probably would have gotten one more scene written. Maybe even another scene or two.

I doubt that I would have gotten three more scenes written in that hour and fifteen minutes. But I could have gotten at least one more written. Maybe even two more scenes. The weather is supposed to be almost as bad as yesterday. But that shouldn’t affect my writing today either. Neither should my relief. After all, it’s only Wednesdays that come in that early. The others come in a few minutes before the end of my shift.

I’m not sure if I can get six scenes written today to make up for yesterday. After all, it has been very busy the last few Thursdays at work. Of course, I still have been getting at least five scenes written. And if I remember correctly, two or three weeks ago I did a few more than five scenes on a Thursday. So, there is no reason why I can’t do it again today too. A lot of whether I can write that many scenes are how bad the weather and how bad it gets at work today.
