So Far, Only One This Month

Just before I went to sleep last night, I got the prompt for this month’s WDC Short Story contest. And it’s kind of a weird one. Quotation Inspirations often are a little bit confusing. But this one is up there among the weirdest and confusing. If it isn't the top one. That doesn’t mean that I can’t write a Short Story for it this month. Because I can. And I will. It’s taking me a little bit more time to do it. Especially, if it’s going to be a Science FAction one.

Still haven’t decided what this story is going to be. If it will be Science Faction, I haven’t remembered one that relates to this prompt yet. And that’s unusual for me. By now I normally would have remembered a few of them. All I needed to do is figure out which one I wanted to write. This one probably will be Science Faction too. I just need to remember a Short Story that best fits this prompt. And I will. It’s just going to take me a little bit longer for me to do it this month.

It’s not like I have a lot of short stories to write this month. The one that I have been entering lately hasn’t come up with one in over a month now. After missing last month, I would think they would get the new one out as soon as possible. I know this is only day one of November. But it should still be out there under the circumstance. Then again, maybe it already is. It wouldn’t be the first time I haven’t been excluded from a contest because I write Science Faction and not Science Fiction.

Give me an hour or two. And I will remember a Short Story for this prompt too. I just haven’t had too much time today to do it. It has been a typical Monday. Didn’t think that we had that much that needed to be done today. And in a lot of ways, I was right about that. But what we needed to get done today, took us almost the whole day to do it. In fact, this blog entry has been my first chance to get on my laptop today. That’s how busy it has been today.

Unfortunately, tomorrow isn’t going to be too much better. If it isn’t a little bit worse than today. I do know that there are a few things that need to be done tomorrow. I’m just not sure how it will take to do them. Don’t think it will take the whole day to do them. But I may be wrong about that. It wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong about something. And I’m sure it won’t be the last time. That may not be all bad, though. If I am wrong, it will give me a chance to remember my Short Story for this prompt.
