What is a Sub-Sentence?

Wrong again. I thought that my brother and I had nothing to do today. But I was wrong about that. It’s not all that bad, though. We didn’t have too much that needed to be done today. And I was lucky. It didn’t take us that long to do it. we got it done about the middle of the afternoon. As a result, I did have a little bit of time to work on my WDC Short story.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get too much of it written. In fact, I haven’t even started writing it yet. I spend what time I had to write working on my sections for this Short Story. It wasn’t that hard to do. After all, I knew what I wanted to write. But it did take a little longer to do than I expected. Especially, since I also wrote some sub-sentences for these sections.

What is a sub-sentence? That’s what I call it. in reality, it probably isn’t even a word. I guess I will find that out when I post this blog entry. Anyway, I got a little sidetracked there. Didn’t I? I was about to explain what a sub-sentence is. For each section of a Short Story, I write a brief sentence for that section aka about sixty characters long. Sub-sentences are with those sections.

It helps me to organize what I’m about to write to make the writing a little easier. These are just section sentences and sub-sentences. They may end up being in my Short Story. Then again, maybe they won’t. But some part of it may be. Once again, not even part of it will be in it. It’s hard to tell. It doesn’t happen too often. But every so often, these sentences and sub-sentences change completely.

When it comes to my short stories, I’m a freelancer. I know what I want to write. And how I want to write it. But sometimes I get away from that writing. As a result, it changes. Sometimes, it’s just a little bit of a change. And sometimes it’s a lot. With my scriptwriting, I Outline them. But I don’t do that with my short stories. At least not the way that I do with my scriptwriting.

I sort of Outline them. But I only do it with a few paragraphs about what the Short Story is about. Like my section sentences and my sub-sentences, I use them only as a guideline. It helps me to write my short stories. I didn’t use to do them. But I have lately. And I think that it does help me when it comes to my writing. That’s just the way that I like to write my short stories.
