A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
A Decision has been Made That’s right. I have made my decision about what I am going to do about my Water Wars scriptwriting project. And that decision is that I’m going to stick with forty-five-minute scripts after all. There are several reasons why I have decided to do that. Of course, probably the main reason is that can’t figure out how to write fifty-to-fifty-five-minute scripts. I may be able to do it with fifty. But I tried to do that years ago. And I couldn’t do it. I probably won’t be able to do it now either. Maybe I could. But I don’t have the time to try to figure it out. I have already wasted a week trying to figure out how to write them. And I’m not going to continue trying on doing it. Especially, since I don’t think that I will. I have tried every way that I can think of to do it. And I haven’t come close to doing it yet. The number of reasons may be the main reason why I have made this decision. but it’s not the only one. While I was thinking about how to write those extra minutes, I realized that I would be hurting myself in doing it if I did figure out a way for me to write them. Why do I feel like that? It’s the number of episodes that streaming servicers and cable stations have with their shows. They run from ten-episode to about thirteen for some odd reason per year. And I want mine to be twenty. The only way I may be able to do that is with one of the major networks like ABC, CBS, or NBC. Of course, I still may be selling them to a streaming service or a cable station. And if I do, it will probably be for the lesser number of episodes. I can and will try to talk them into the twenty. But there’s a very probable case that I won’t be able to do that. I have already started writing them. At least I have with what little I have to work with. When I started writing the Outlines, I didn’t number them with a Spreadsheet. That’s because I had to do them by hand. As a result, I don’t know where those handwritten Outlines are. So, I had to start them all over again. That is what I have been doing the last few hours. It’s also the reason why this blog entry is a little bit later than usual. What I will do today is to transfer what I have written in my original handwritten writing to my tablet. That’s if I can do that. There is a very good chance that I won’t be able to do it. If that’s true, I’m back to the handwriting again. Only this time, I will update my Spreadsheet too.
