To 'Abdu'l-Baha

To promote the oneness of humanity
through benevolent service
to humankind.

He fed the hungry,
purchased coats for the freezing,
and nursed the sick
no matter what their religion,
the color of their skin,
or the nation of their birth
each day of his earthly life.

Through word and deed
he lived the purpose of life.
