Still Should Get It Finished

No writing was done on my second Short Story for this month at work yesterday. Why didn’t I do any writing yesterday at work? What is the usual reason why I don’t? That’s right it’s work. Only this time it’s worse. Not just because of where I was the first four hours of my shift, but because of when I found out about it.

I was on my way to work when I found out that I was doing another split shift. Only this time they didn’t ask me to do it. They told me to go to my old post for the first four hours. It was extremely busy before the new changes. Even on the weekend. But it was even worse now. I couldn’t have gotten any writing done even if I tried to do it. That’s how busy it was there yesterday.

True, I may have been able to do one or two parts to this Short Story during the second half of my shift. And I should have tried to do it. But I didn’t feel like it. Not only because I was too tired to do it, but because it was also quite busy on the second half of my shift. No, it wasn’t as busy as the first four hours. But it was a lot busier than it has been on a Sunday in a long time.

Don’t know if it was because of Thanksgiving a few days ago or not. but this Friday and the weekend wasn’t a normal Friday and weekend. it may be also because it’s that time of year when it’s a whole lot busier than normal. Whatever the reason, I didn’t get any writing done yesterday at work. And it was mostly who I work for than where I work.

As a result, I had to wait until I got home from work to do any writing. I still didn’t feel like doing it. But I had to try. And I did get two more sections finished to get me to the halfway point of this Short Story. I was going to do another all-nighter. But I had to get up very early today to get several things done that needed to be done.

Unfortunately, it has taken me almost all of today to get those things done. Don’t get me wrong. It hasn’t been a total disaster. I haven’t had a lot of time to do any writing. But I have had a little bit of it. No, I didn’t get it finished after all. But I did get two more of them written. That only leaves three more parts to go.
I was starting to think that I may have to do another all-nighter. But maybe I won’t. That’s good news. Especially, since I need to get up very early tomorrow to get some things done that need to get done. I don’t know if I will be able to do a Grammarly check or post this Short Story too before I go to sleep. But I should be able to finish it.
