A Very Good Beginning

Yesterday at work was kind of busy. But not that busy, though. I’m not sure if I would say that it was a Saturday busy or not. It could have been more like a Sunday. That’s more like how busy it was yesterday at work. If it wasn’t a Sunday, it was very close to one.

That didn’t slow me down that much when it comes to writing my second Short Story for this month. True, the new changes did stop me from writing a little bit. But it wasn’t that bad. Most of the time I just needed to stick my head out the door. There were quite a few times that I had to go outside my guard post too. Just not enough to stop me from writing three parts to this Short Story.

True, three sections don’t read like a lot of writing done. But I think that it is. After all, it was almost six hundred words. And I think that’s pretty good for a Saturday or a Sunday. Especially, since I was writing it from scratch on my tablet. I have to use the hunt and peck method on my tablet. But there is one advantage that I like about it. Most of the time I don’t have to finish a word before it pops up on my word tabs above my keyboard.

There is also a big disadvantage to writing a tablet. I don’t like AutoCorrect because it often doesn’t correct my word. it gives me what it thinks that I should have. Then I have to use the backspace key to correct it. and that can be a big problem depending on how long the word is and how much of it that I have to backspace.

I’m thinking about getting an attachable keyboard. And there is a big advantage to doing that. I can type as I do on my laptop and desktop. That’s not all, though. It will make it easier to type because it will be propped up. Right now, I either lean way over to do my typing or I use one hand to hold it up and the other one to do the typing. both ways slow me down a lot. but the disadvantage of getting an attachable keyboard is its cost. I’m not sure if I want to spend about forty dollars on that or not.

Today, I’m hoping to get another three or four parts for this Short Story written. If I can, I have a very good chance that I will finish it before the end of this month too. I think that I have a very good chance of getting at least three of them written. Four would be better. But three will still be good enough for me to get it written in time.
