Two For December
Two For December

It was only a few days ago that the December Prompt for the WDC contest for this month was revealed. After seeing this Short Shot picture, almost instantly I remembered a Short Story for this prompt. Ever since then, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. And the more that I do, the more I can remember about it. That will help me in writing this Short Story.

Unfortunately, that’s about all that I have been doing the last few days: thinking about it. I have gotten some of the preliminary parts of this Short Story written. But not very much of it. Haven’t even gotten the single sentence sections for it done yet. All I have written are the two paragraphs that won’t be a part of this story. Except as a guideline for it.

What is the usual reason why I can’t get any writing done during my days off from work? Unfortunately, it’s the same reason as it normally is. I didn’t have a lot that I needed to get done today. But what I did need to do took me almost the whole day to do it. As a result, I haven’t had too much time for my writing today. I have written a little today. But I haven’t started the actual story yet.

If this was the only Short Story that I was working on this month, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal with how much I have gotten done on it. Especially, since it’s early in the month. I still have plenty of time to write it. only it’s not the only one anymore. Just before I started writing this blog entry, I checked. And I do have a second Short Story to write for this month.

I haven’t had any time to think about this second Short Story for this month. But I have already remembered several of them that fit this prompt. all I need to do is decide which one I’m going to write. It’s not going to be easy to do that, though. There are so many of them to choose from. I will decide in the next few hours to a day or two which one I will be writing. But the WDC Short Story comes first.

Unfortunately, I probably won’t have too much time to work on either one of them tomorrow. I should have a little bit of time to work on them. But not very much. After all, there are a lot of things that I need to do tomorrow. And it’s going to start very early tomorrow morning. It’s going to take most of the day to do them too. If I’m lucky, I may get the single sentences for my parts written tomorrow.
