Another Short Story Finished

That’s right. I finished another Short Story today. But I barely did it. It was a typical second day off from work aka a Tuesday. I thought that there was only a few things that needed to be done today. But once again, I was wrong. There were several things that needed done today. As a result, I didn’t get too much time to finish this Short Story. But it was enough to get it finished.

That is all that matters. So what if I haven’t done a Grammarly check or created it on WDC yet. I still have plenty of time to that. In fact, I have until next Monday to finish it. But I don’t plan on waiting until the last second to do it. That is when something goes wrong. And I don’t get the chance to enter this contest. That’s not going to happen to this Short Story.

I’m going to try to do a Grammarly check after I finish writing this blog entry. And as far as I know I don’t have anything that needs to be done today before I go to sleep tonight. Once I finish with the Grammarly check, I will create it on WDC. After I do that, I will post it to this contest. Once again, this could wait until next Monday. But I’m not going to take any chances. I don’t want to take any chances that something will happen, and I can’t post it.

Missing a contest is unlikely. After all, I can do a Grammarly check, create it, and post it once I get home from work in the next few days. But I don’t like taking chances. Especially, when it comes to contest. With my scriptwriting, I don’t have any monthly deadlines to I need to follow. But that isn’t true when I’m doing a Short Story for a contest.

There is a deadline for short Stories. It’s usually at the end of the month. Most contests run on a monthly basis like this one I’m about to enter. But there are a few that are daily. I used to enter some of those contests. Haven’t had the chance to do that the last few years because I have been concentrating on my scriptwriting. That hasn’t stopped me from entering a few contests, though.

This is one of those contests that I try to enter every month. I try to do that with the WDC contest too. but not this month. And in a way, that’s good. If I was writing that one too, I would be getting this one done. If I don’t get to enter this contest today, I will be doing it before the end of this month. I want to do it today. But something may come up to prevent me from doing that.
