Almost Fifteen
Almost Fifteen

Only needed fourteen single paragraphs to end Part One of the movie introduction for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. At least I did for my Scene Outline. Unfortunately, that is all that I got written yesterday at work. Normally, I would have written that I barely got that many written. But I can’t write that about yesterday.

I had just over an hour left in my shift yesterday when I finished Part One. So, I could have gotten started on Part Two of this project. True, I would probably only get the two opening Establishing Shots that start out each of my Acts. Maybe one or two scenes. But that probably would have been all that I got written. If I even got that much.

So, why didn’t I get more written? It was mostly because of me. I thought that I had Part Two on my tablet for this Numeric Scene Outline. But I didn’t. True, I could have saved Part One under Part two. Then started working on Part Two. On my laptop, that wouldn’t be that big of a problem. But on a tablet, it is.

What I would have to do is delete all thirty-two pages of Part One. With a laptop, all I need to do is select All text to delete it all at once. That’s easy to do on a laptop. It’s not with a tablet. At least it isn’t for me. I have to do it one character at a time. And by the time I got that done, I wouldn’t have had the time to do any writing. If I got it done before the end of my shift.

Why did I only get fourteen single paragraphs written at work yesterday? It was because it was kind of busy there. One of the busiest that I have seen in a long time for a Saturday. Usually, it’s not very busy on a Saturday. But yesterday it was about at least twice as busy as it normally is. It wasn’t as busy as it typically is on a weekday. Probably a close second, though.

Today, I’m going to be starting Part Two of this project. Right after I got home last night, I put Part Two into my tablet so that I could start it today. I just checked it. And it is still there. I’m not sure how many numeric scenes that I will get done on my Teaser Act today. I would like to get twenty of them done. Plus the three or four Establishing Shots. But I doubt that will happen.

True, today is a Sunday. And normally Sundays are a little bit busier than a Saturday. I hope that isn’t true today. After what happened yesterday, I may be lucky if I get ten of them written plus the Establishing Shots. May get fifteen scenes written. But I don’t think that it will be twenty. Of course, I got fourteen written yesterday at work. There's no reason why I can't do it today too.
