No Time for Writing Today Either

It’s true, unfortunately. I haven’t had any time to work on my WDC Short Story for this month. And this month is almost half over. Maybe it’s a good thing that I only have one Short Story to write. If not, I probably would get either one of them written in the next couple of weeks.

It has been an extremely busy day for my brother and I. Mostly, it was because we are finalizing on a house at the end of this week. And there are a few more things that have come up about it. It sometimes doesn’t look like we are going to get it. Today has been one of those days.

We know that we are going to get it. But when something comes up it doesn’t look like we are. Especially, when it happens on almost a daily basis. That is how it has been for the last few weeks. And it doesn’t appear that it’s going to end until my brother signs the papers for the new house.

Yes, I just wrote ‘my brother signs.’ That’s because he is getting it through a VA Home Loan. So, technically the house is his. But it’s also my house too. I will be living there. And I will be on the deed so that I will get it if something were to happen to him.

What does all this have to do about my not writing anything on this Short Story today? It means that I haven’t had the time to do it. This blog entry is the first chance that I have gotten to work on it. Well, that isn’t completely true.

True, I haven’t written anything. But I have thought about it. In fact, while driving home last night I wrote the whole Short Story. I spoke it out completely from the first word to the last. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a Recorder on to capture it for me.

If I had, this blog entry would be a lot different because I would have written this Short Story. At least I would have if I found a way to upload it to my laptop from my cell phone. And I might be able to do that. After all, I have with pictures and Word documents.

Unfortunately, I didn’t do that. As a result, I haven’t gotten any writing done today. And it doesn’t look like I’m going to get any done after I write and post this blog entry for today. Why won’t I? The usual reason why I can’t. I didn’t get too much sleep last night.
