The Stinky Hat Lady
God only knows why she stuffed a skunk
the idea leaves one to think her brain shrunk
padded and preserved she put it on her hat
every day for so long that is where it has sat
year after year the smell only got worse
celebrated now in these lines of verse
the black and white stripe can clear a crowd
the smell of the tail speaks just as loud
who can really blame her it once was a pet
just not of the kind you easily forget
it sits on her hat and smells up a storm
the gift of its stench goes beyond the norm
