Returning to Scriptwriting

Now that I have finally finished my WDC Short Story for this month, I can return to my scriptwriting. I wasn’t sure if I was going to continue working on my Water Wars or my The Final Ritual scriptwriting project. Still didn’t know for sure until I got up this morning. Kind of knew which one it was going to be before then. But I hadn’t made up my mind for sure just yet.

Since I would have been working on my Water Wars scriptwriting project if I was still working at my old job, I decided that I would work on this project today. And work on it I have. Unfortunately, I didn’t get too many single-scene paragraphs written as I wanted to get written. I only got six of them written so far. And I have a very good reason why it was only six.

It has been over a month since I have worked on this project. True, it has only been a few weeks since I looked at it. June the fifth to be exact. And I could have worked on it because the WDC prompt for this month hadn’t come out yet. It came out on the sixth. I don’t remember why I didn’t do any writing on the fifth. But I didn’t. Just looked to see where I was on this project.

Kind of got sidetracked there a little bit, didn’t I? The reason why I didn’t get more than six single scene paragraphs written today is that I haven’t written on this project in over a month. No, I didn’t start writing this episode over again. But I did have a lot of re-reading to do on it. That’s why I didn’t get any more writing done on it today so far.

Six may not read like a lot of paragraphs. And it isn’t. But considering how long it has been between working on this project and that they were all scene paragraphs, six isn’t too bad. At least I don’t think that it is. It wasn’t just the re-reading, though. My brother and I didn’t have a lot that we needed to do today. But there were a few things. That’s another reason why I didn’t get more written today.

Will I do any more writing today before I go to sleep tonight? That is what I plan on doing. As for how many more paragraphs I will get written, I don’t know. I’m hoping that it will be another three or four. But it may not be that many. It all depends on how late I stay up tonight. If I go to sleep at my usual time, then I may be able to get that many written. Maybe even a few more than four.
