All I Needed Was a Little Silence
All I Needed Was a Little Silence

I think that I may have solved my lack of writing problem. At least I think that I have for this WDC Short Story that I have working on for almost this whole month. All I needed was a little silence. That’s what I did today. I turned off my television. And that’s all that I needed to do.

Of course, it wasn’t complete silence. I still had my brother who keep interrupting me every few seconds. Despite that, I still finished writing this Short Story. True, I still have done a Grammarly check on it. And I still haven’t created it or posted it to this contest. But I plan on doing it before I go to sleep tonight or tomorrow. It all depends on when I go to sleep tonight.

Why didn’t I think of this earlier? I did. But I’m still trying to catch up on my DVR recordings. I have a lot of different television shows that I have been recording. And I thought that I had a twenty-five-episode limit per show. But I don’t. It only affects us when we reach our one hundred percent limit. Only then will the system start deleting saved programs. And we have a long way before this happens.

If it ever does get that bad. My brother and I are very good about not keeping programs on the DVR for very long. I’m kind of bad about that. Especially, now. But I’m getting better at it. Now that I know I’m not limited by twenty-five episodes, I’m freer with my writing. At work, I can watch movies and tv shows on my cell phone while I write. But I can’t seem to do it as easily at home.

Now that I am finally finished my WDC Short Story for this month what does that mean for my writing? It means that I can return to working on scriptwriting projects that I’m supposed to be doing during the days that I used to work. That is what I’m going to start doing tomorrow. Don’t know how much writing I’m going to get done tomorrow. But I also got most of next week to work on them. Maybe longer depending on when they post the Rhythm and Writing prompt for next month’s WDC Short Story Contest.

Tomorrow will be the last official day this week for my scriptwriting. But for the last month and a half, I have been working on one WDC Short Story or another. Now that is finally over. And I can return to my scriptwriting. Which I’m going to be doing as much as I can until I get the new prompt for next month.
