Not Completely My Fault

What does this blog title mean? It means that last Friday I didn’t read an email about me starting training today at another post. But it’s not all my fault. It’s true that I didn’t read the post. It isn’t because I didn’t recognize the new Scheduling Supervisor that no one told me about. As a result, I didn’t know about this new post until nine-thirty WDC time this morning.

An hour and a half after I was supposed to start training there. I didn’t even know where the new post was until I contacted my HR Representative after she called me about not showing up there. Once I found out about it, I checked my email. And I found it. I told my Representative that it would be a couple of hours before I got there.

What I didn’t know was if I lost out on those three and a half hours of training or if I was going to still be trained for the eight hours. Just before I went to work, I found out it was for the eight hours. What that means is that I didn’t get out of training until seven-thirty WDC time. It also means that I haven’t gotten any more writing done on my WDC Short Story for this month today.

My working all day isn’t the only reason why I haven’t gotten any writing done today on my WDC Short Story for this month. But it is why I’m not going to probably be able to do any after I finish writing this blog entry and posting it. Since I didn’t know about this new training post, I was going to sleep in until noon WDC time. But because of the training, I only got about four hours of sleep last night.

I haven’t been doing too bad when it comes to this blog entry. But I have been fighting sleep while writing it. What does that mean? It means that I will probably be going to sleep soon after I finish writing this blog entry. I most likely don’t have to do that since I’m not going into training again until this Thursday. But I’m not going to take any chances on something like this happening again.

As of this writing, I’m not scheduled for any training until this coming Thursday. That means I have two days to finish my WDC Short Story for this month. and with only a couple of sections left to write, I should be finished with it tomorrow. Of course, that all depends on a couple of things that may stop me from doing it: who I work for finding me another place to work, or what my brother and I need to do tomorrow.

Don’t think that my brother and I have anything that needs to be done tomorrow. Of course, I could be wrong about that. It wouldn’t be the first time that has happened. If there is, hopefully, it won’t take all day to do it. As for work, I never know with them. It can go either way. I don’t think that will happen either. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.
